6 p.m. Saturday — A6 -year-old Butler girl suffered minor injuries when a car struck her at Pillow and West Cunningham streets.Courtney Lewis was one of three children crossing the street when she was struck by a car driven by Michelle Taylor, 38, of Summit Township.Taylor, who had been stopped at a red light on West Cunningham Street and had just begun to turn right, was not cited in the accident.
11:57 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Erin Edwards, 22, of Greenville, Mercer County, struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township.5:45 a.m. Sunday — Acar driven by Geoffrey Gander, 26, of Stoneboro, Mercer County, struck a deer on Route 422 near Route 528 in Franklin Township.6:27 p.m. Saturday — Cars driven by John Kamerer, 31, of Butler and Douglas Brenneman, 51, of New Castle collided at Country Club and Unionville roads in Franklin Township. Kamerer was cited for not stopping at a stop sign.Saturday — Gary Tuck of Butler reported that his car, valued at $50,000, was taken between 12:01 and 3 a.m. from an unlocked garage on Mahood Road in Center Township. The car is a 1986 Ford Mustang Saleen Edition.Friday — Jared Kline, 18, of Prospect reported the theft of a sub box, a Pioneer amplifier and two JL subwoofers, with a total value of $580, from his blue Ford Explorer Sport while it was parked in the Slippery Rock High School parking lot between 7:40 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. Anyone with information about the theft should call state police at 724-284-8100.1:15 a.m. May 7 — Stephen Armahizer, 18, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence after his vehicle struck a utility pole on Prospect Road in Connoquenessing Township. Armahizer, who was wearing a seat belt, received minor injuries. While southbound on Prospect Road, Armahizer's vehicle scraped against the guardrail before crossing the road, traveling around 210 feet and hitting the pole on the east side embankment.
12:55 p.m. Saturday — Cars driven by Cheryl Buzard, 42, and Robert Nakich, 57, both of Rimersburg collided on Route 68 near Merryman Road in Toby Township, Clarion County. Two passengers in Buzard's car, a 9-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl, suffered minor injuries.
11:25 p.m. Saturday — Roberto Villar, 37, of Fairfield, Conn., swerved his sport utility vehicle to avoid a commercial vehicle on Route 28 in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County, causing the SUVto roll onto its side. Villar and two passengers, a 29-year-old man and a 9-year-old boy, both of Connecticut, suffered minor injuries; all three were wearing seat belts.
