René Nicole Zarnick-Eury, 36, devoted mother, beloved daughter and loving sister, died of domestic violence on Sunday. She was a lifetime resident of Butler.

Born July 28, 1969, in Butler, she was a daughter of Paul David and Shirley Lorenz Zarnick.

She was a graduate of Butler High School and a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.

As a residential-care worker at the Irene Stacy Community Mental Health Center for the past 10 years, she was devoted to her career and to those with whom she worked. She touched many lives for years with her clients and her co-workers who will deeply miss her. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, kindness and a loving heart.

She enjoyed music, dancing, swimming, the beach and the sun and home decorating. She loved writing poetry.

Surviving are a son, Zane Paul Zarnick Eury, 16; her parents of Butler; two sisters, Paula Snodgrass of Glenshaw and Joni Zarnick of Prospect; a nephew, Justin Snodgrass of Pittsburgh; and three nieces, Kathryn Lenon of Duquesne, Richelle McKee of Pope Air Force Base, N.C., and Alexandria Bowser of Glenshaw. She also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, and cousins and a very dear companion, Eric Edwards of Butler.

Her brother, Dr. Philip D. Zarnick, died in 1996.

<B>ZARNICK-EURY</B> — Friends of René Zarnick-Eury, who died Sunday, April 9, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Pierre Falkenhan, her church pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the Zane P. Eury Fund, c/o National City Bank, 106 N.
