Talbots keep Planets out of playoffs
Despite a home run from Weston Hillegas and two doubles from Adam Spithaler, the Mars baseball team will miss the WPIAL Class AAA playoffs after a 12-8 loss to Hampton Wednesday afternoon.
Hampton's six-run second inning did in the Planets (11-9, 7-7).

• Cam Fusko contributed three singles to Knoch's 16-hit attack, as the Knights (9-10, 6-8) closed their season with a 13-2 thumping of Highlands.
• Grove City erupted for seven runs in the bottom of the third inning in putting away Hickory, 15-2, in five innings.
