Gremlins' White sets 2 school track records vs. Union

Xandria White set school records in the 200-meter dash and in the long jump as the KarnsCity girls track and field team toppled Union 110-40 Tuesday afternoon.

White ran a time of 25.8 seconds in the 200 to break the school record. She also eclipsed her own mark in the long jump with a leap of 17 feet, 2½ inches.

White also holds the school record in the 100 at 12.5.

The KarnsCity boys also made a little school history, winning their fifth-consecutive Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference title.

The seniors on the boys team have never lost a meet.

In other meets:

n The SlipperyRock girls track and field team finished a perfect dual meet season with a 91-59 win over Reynolds.

• Toby Best set a school record in the javelin with a throw of 173-2 for Union at the recent Pine-Richland Invitational. He finished third.

Mike Brothers finished third in the high jump and sixth in the triple jump for the Golden Knights.
