11:35 a.m. Sunday — Two suspects were arrested on drug charges after they were allegedly found with small amounts of crack cocaine following a traffic stop on Broad Street.Charged with possession of a controlled substance are Kelly Wilson, 37, of West Sunbury and Timothy Moreino, 52, of Lyndora.Additionally, Wilson is charged with driving with a suspended license and being a habitual offender for driving under suspension. Police noted she has been cited four times for driving with a suspended license, prior to Sunday.11:32 p.m. Friday — Nathan Harvey, 25, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on South Chestnut Street. He was also cited for disregarding a traffic control device.Butler County DUI Task ForceSaturday — Several citations were issued, but none for drunken driving, during a roving DUI patrol in Cranberry Township between 11 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday.Butler County DUI Task Force officers made one drug arrest and issued one citation each for public drunkenness, open lewdness, underage drinking and an undisclosed traffic violation. Officers also issued 36 traffic warnings and 12 seat belt warnings.
5:23 p.m. Saturday — A pickup truck driven by Sean Schiebel, 18, of Prospect struck a tree along Cooper Road in Worth Township. Schiebel and Matthew Novak, 19, of Portersville, a passenger in the pickup, suffered minor injuries. Neither was wearing a seat belt.2:38 p.m. Saturday — Asport utility vehicle driven by Laura Hiles, 45, of Butler struck a mailbox, utility pole and guardrail along Route 422 near Kaiser Road in Summit Township, and then traveled down an embankment. Hiles, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries.1:39 a.m. Saturday — Two Clearfield County men were arrested following a traffic stop on Route 28 in Buffalo Township.Charged with hindering apprehension and possession of drug paraphernalia are Michael Styers, 48, of Frenchville, and Brandon Kifer, 25, of Houtzdale. Styers was placed in the Butler County Prison on a state parole violation.5:44 p.m. Friday — Cars driven by Jason Newbegin, 26, and Robert Schmidt, 21, both of Butler, collided atRoute 68 and Spithaler Road in Forward Township.
2:30 a.m. Saturday — Matthew McCrea, no age given, of Freeport was arrested for driving under the influence on the Freeport Bridge on Route 356 in Freeport, Armstrong County.
2:34 a.m. Sunday — Wendy Sue Rebel, 53, of Mercer was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Lee road near Bottle Hill Road in Springfield Township, Mercer County. She also was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road and careless driving.3:26 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by a 17-year-old Grove City girl, who police did not identify, traveled into a field and rolled onto its side along Amsterdam Road in Liberty Township. The girl was not wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries. She was cited for driving too fast for conditions and not wearing a seat belt.2 a.m. Friday — Brian Todd Mack, 34, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 208 near Pine Road in Springfield Township, Mercer County. He was also cited for careless driving and a lane violation.1:50 a.m. April 1 — Darell Metcalf, 46, of Harrisville was arrested for driving under the influence on Springfield Church Road in Jackson Township, Mercer County.
12:35 p.m. Sunday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Lowell Scott, no age given, of Sarver and a car driven by John Rodgers, no age given, of Ellwood City collided on Route 224 in Mahoning Township, Lawrence County.Scott's car also hit several railroad ties and rolled over in the crash. He and a passenger, Janice Scott, no age given, of Sarver were flown by medical helicopter to St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio. Their conditions were not known this morning.Rodgers and two passengers in his car were treated for injuries at Jameson Hospital in New Castle.
