Leonard M. Kresh

Leonard M. Kresh, 46, of Daytona Beach, Fla., died at 11:10 a.m. Tuesday at the Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach.

Born Oct. 6, 1959, in Bethlehem, Northampton County, he was the son of Rudolph E. and Anna Rose Tanczos Kresh Jr.

He was the lead computer operator and assistant to the controller of Realty Growth Corp., Pittsburgh, for 10 years.

After graduating from Butler High School in 1977, he was a foreman at the Umbaugh Pole Building Co. for several years.

Mr. Kresh was a Roman Catholic and a former member of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, Center Township.

He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed auto racing, including NASCAR, Formula I and Indy cars. He also was an avid mechanic and enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his parents of Butler; two brothers, David E. Kresh of Washington, Pa., and Daniel H. Kresh of Butler; two sisters, Irena M. Rosati of McDonald and Teresa M. McDowell of Butler, and several nieces and nephews.

A nephew, Jacob Kresh, preceded him in death.

<B>KRESH </B>— Friends of Leonard M. Kresh, who died Tuesday, April 4, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, North Main Street Extension, with the Rev. James Salberg officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Michael Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jacob Kresh Memorial Fund, Diocese of Pittsburgh, 111 Boulevard of the Allies, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.Information also is available at www.thompson-miller.com.
