Claire E. Haine

Claire E. Haine, 88, of Harmony died Tuesday at the Ellwood City Hospital.

She was born April 4, 1918, in Connoquenessing Township.

Mrs. Haine was a member of the Grace Church of Harmony, where she belonged to Joy Bell's Sunday school class.

She owned and operated the Four Springs Farm in Lancaster Township until her death. She enjoyed needlework, and she taught Sunday school for years. She especially enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren.

Surviving are two daughters and a son, Joretta Kennedy and her husband, David, Janet Metzger and her husband, William, and Larry I. Haine and his wife, Debra, all of Harmony; eight grandchildren, Pam Villegas, Connie Costa, William J. Metzger, Lori Moore, Alan and Zeke Reed and John M. and Elijah D. Haine; and nine great-grandchildren, Meghan, Sarah, Peyton, Nicholas, Rachel, Brady, Destiny, Joey and Jaden.

Her husband, John I. Haine, whom she married April 4, 1936, died Aug. 30, 2004. Three brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.

<B>HAINE </B>— Friends of Claire E. Haine, who died Tuesday, April 4, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home,</B> 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Peter Everett, her church pastor, officiating.
