Barbara J. Oswald
Barbara J. Oswald, 75, of McQuistion Road in Butler Township died at 5:01 a.m. Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Butler, July 20, 1930, she was the daughter of Max and Grace E. Bartlett Polliard.
She retired as field director of the American Heart Association in Butler.
Mrs. Oswald was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was an active member of the General Richard Butler Chapter of the Daughters of The American Revolution. She also belonged to Beta Sigma Phi sorority and the AARP.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Dianna J.) Sroka of Butler; two sisters, Mrs. Leslie Peters and Mrs. Leanna Porter, both of East Butler; and a brother, Gilbert Polliard of Prospect. Two grandsons and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Her husband of 56 years, Joseph F. Oswald, died May 4, 2004. A daughter also preceded her in death.
