5:53 p.m. Sunday — A van driven by Christine Styen, 30, of Butler Township and a sport utility vehicle driven by Christine Fallecker, 47, of Chicora collided on New Castle Street.2:05 a.m. Friday — Matthew Fitzgerald, no age given, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Second Street. He was also charged with resisting arrest and a stop sign violation.
1 a.m. Monday — Clarence Ledbetter, 55, of Athens, Tenn., was arrested after he allegedly punched Frederick Kelleher, 67, of Rochester, Beaver County, in his head during an altercation at a Clyde Lane home in Center Township. Ledbetter was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $3,000 bond.5:05 p.m. Sunday — Cars driven by Brian Cherry, 23, of Freeport and a 17-year-old Butler girl, who police did not identify, collided at Route 8 and Unionville Road inCenter Township.Sunday — Sandra Jo Mitchell of West Sunbury reported a purse was taken from her vehicle at the West Park Road area of Moraine State Park.12:20 a.m. Saturday — Kenneth McDonald, 35, is accused of setting off large fireworks at his Lilac Lane home in Connoquenessing Township. Police noted they had received numerous calls reporting loud explosions. McDonald is charged with disorderly conduct.
4:50 p.m. Sunday — James Davis, 51, of Butler was injured when his motorcycle collided with atrailer being towed by a pickup truck on Freeport Road in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County.Davis was taken with rib injuries and a possible spleen injury to UCMHHospital in Kittanning. It was not known this morning if Davis was wearing a helmet.Police said the driver of the pickup, a 17-year-old boy who police did not identify, was cited for making an illegal left turn.
Monday — Around bale hay wagon was stolen between Friday and Sunday from a Bradley Road in Worth Township, Mercer County. Virgil Amon of Stoneboro owns the wagon.Sunday — A laptop computer and credit cards were taken between midnight and 7 a.m. in a burglary at the Old Hickory Lane home of Blair Allison in Pine Township, Mercer County. Police said the credit cards were used to make undisclosed purchases at different stores in the county.
