Anna Detwiler

Anna Mary (Kinter) Detwiler, 90, of Penn Run, died Thursday at her home.

Born March 15, 1916, in Strongstown, Cambria County, she was a daughter of Charles Sutton and Rella (Waltermire) Kinter.

Mrs. Detwiler was a loving mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.

She was a homemaker who loved embroidery, crafts and "Kid." She was a member of the senior citizens center in Zelienople.

Surviving are her seven sons, Allen of Harmony, James and his wife, Linda, of Cherry Tree, Blake and his wife, Stephanie, of Sumterville, Fla., Frank and his wife, Ruby, of Evans City, Gilbert and his wife, Judy, of Heilwood, Bill and his wife, Dennise, of Butler, and Dave and his wife, Kathy, of Heilwood; seven daughters, Elsie Findley of Alverda, Goldie of Penn Run, Mary "Peg" Kelly of Lexington, S.C., Gerry and her husband, Terry Galet, of Harmony, Zelma and her husband, Leonard Lute of Cherry Tree, Iona and her husband, Mike Gensburger, of Alverda, and Barb and her husband, Lloyd Lute, of Penn Run; 64 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy E. "Zack" Detwiler; two sons, Roy E. Jr. and Charles; two daughters, Helen and Eliene; three brothers, Clair, Herbert and Gilbert; three sisters, Helen and Verna Mason and Ruth Wright; four grandsons; a great-granddaughter; and a great-grandson.

DETAILER<B>—</B><I><U></U></I>Friends of Anna Mary (Kinter) Detwiler, who died on Thursday, March 30, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 1, at the <B>BENCE FUNERAL HOME, </B>Clymer. Her funeral will be 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ron Newcome officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Union Cemetery in Alverda.
