The Bluegrass Benefit for Catholic Charities will begin at 7:30 p.m. tonight

at Synod Hall in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh. This year's concert features local artists such as the Allegheny Drifters, Blue Shades, Mac Martin and the Dixie Travelers, Timber Ridge and Nine Mile Run. Tickets are $15 each. Proceeds benefit Catholic Charities' St. Joseph House of Hospitality, which serves men 50 and older who are capable of living independently but are unable to support themselves. Call 412-471-0666.

Chatham Baroque will present "Fanfare for the Uncommon Cornetto" at 8 p.m. tonight at Sewickley United Methodist Church; at 8 p.m. Saturday at Synod Hall in Oakland; and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at J. Laughlin Music Center at Chatham College. Guest on the cornetto will be Bruce Dickey. Ensemble members include Julie Andrijeski, baroque violin; Patricia Halverson, viola da gamba; and Scott Pauley, theorbo and baroque guitar.
