11:25 a.m. Wednesday — Nemesio Guzman, 24, no address given, was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend, Heather Grosskopf, 25, in a domestic dispute at the woman's West Boyd Avenue home. Guzman was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bond.
5:10 p.m. Wednesday — Cars driven by Tammy Garland, no age given, of Butler and Amanda Snyder, no age given, of Kittanning collided at Route 422 and Cornetti Road in Clearfield Township. Both drivers suffered minor injuries. Police said Garland was wearing a seat belt; Snyder was not.Tuesday — Someone stole gas from two vans at the Community Alliance Church parking lot in Center Township.Police said the unknown thief cut the fuel hoses of the church-owned vans and drained about 30 gallons of gasoline from the vehicles.8:30 p.m. Friday — Police said several stolen street signs owned by Clinton Township and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation turned up at the Crocus Lane home of Aaron Hartman in Summit Township. Hartman, 27, of Butler is charged with receiving stolen property.2:10 p.m. Friday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Patricia Adams, 68, of Butler struck the rear of an SUVdriven by Jessica Bigler, 26, of Renfrew on Route 68 in Connoquenessing Township, and then hit a minivan driven by Joseph Poskin, 35, of Butler.Adams and Poskin, both wearing seat belts, were treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital. Adams was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
