The Rock rallies for split

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock University baseball team rebounded from a Game One loss to upend Shippensburg, 7-6 in the second game of a double-header Monday afternoon.

The Rock scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to claim the victory following a 5-1 defeat in the first game.

Todd Schickling collected three singles and drove in two runs in support of winning pitcher Tom Turnbull, who went 1X\c innings in relief of starter John Katich.

Derek Blyzwick suffered the Game One loss, which saw SRU collect only four hits.
