Sunday — Police reported they are investigating allegations made by a 10-year-old girl that she was sexually assaulted between Jan. 1 and April 16 by a 63-year-old man at his home in Madison Township, Clarion County.April 13 — Terry Painter said he sent a $2,900 check to the purported seller of a lawn tractor on eBay. He told police the check was cashed but he has still not received delivery of the tractor.

Sunday — Brenton Gerstner, 20, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Ashlyn Vlassich, 19, during a domestic dispute at the couple's West New Castle Street home. Gerstner, who is charged with simple assault, is free after posting bail on $2,000 bond.

10:30 p.m. Monday — Joseph Bronchak, 33, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his fiancee, Suzanne McDowell, 36, during a domestic dispute at the couple's Birchwood Drive home in Franklin Township. He also allegedly threatened to beat her during the altercation.Bronchak was arraigned on charges of simple assault, harassment and terroristic threats, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bond.3:32 p.m. Sunday — Samuel Kanish, 55, of Kittanning was injured when the motorcycle he was driving struck the rear of a car on Oneida Valley Road in Oakland Township.Kanish, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown off the motorcycle in the crash. He was treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital. He was cited for driving too fast for conditions. Susan Daniels, 52, of Chicora was driving the car.Sunday — Someone between Friday and Sunday broke into Universal Industrial on Hindman Lane in Connoquenessing Township. Police did not immediately know if any property was taken from the business.Saturday — AJVCstereo/compact disc player was taken between Thursday and Saturday from a vehicle at Hindman's Moving and Storage parking lot on Hindman Lane in Connoquenessing Township. William McClelland of Lyndora owns the stolen property.Saturday — Ablack, 16-inch bicycle was stolen between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. from the yard at the Sutton Lane home of Rania Green in Clay Township.7:45 p.m. Friday — Apickup truck driven by Juan Portillo, 25, of Mexico struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.6:40 p.m. Friday — Acar driven by Whitney Lerch, 23, of Seneca, Venango County, struck an embankment on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township.7:30 p.m. Wednesday — Acar driven by a 15-year-old boy, who police did not identify, struck a pickup truck parked at First and Spruce streets in Butler. The pickup was pushed into Jason Ferguson, 33, of Butler, who was standing next to the truck.Ferguson suffered a minor head injury. Police said the boy and two passengers in the car, both boys, 14 and 16, ran off after the wreck.The 15-year-old, who also suffered a minor head injury, was later identified. He faces hit-and-run charges in the crash.April 16 — AHusqvarna chainsaw and Craftsman weed-eater were stolen from a garage in a burglary between April 14 and 16 at a Bear Creek Road home in Prospect. Shahriar Broumand of Las Vegas owns the stolen property valued at $700.8:50 p.m. April 8 — Keith Blackburn, 55, of Sarver was arrested for driving under the influence after his vehicle ran off the road at Marwood and Bear Creek roads in Winfield Township.

2:10 p.m. Saturday — Donna Conn, 63, of Meadville, Crawford County, was seriously injured when the car she was driving struck a tree on Route 19 in Springfield Township, Mercer County. Conn's condition was not known this morning.3:15 a.m. Saturday — About $220, three credits cards and a Bose Wave radio/compact disc player were taken in a burglary at the Hemlock Trail home of Richard May in Pine Township, Mercer County. May was awakened during the burglary and sent his dog downstairs. The dog apparently scared off the burglar.1:50 a.m. April 1 — Timothy Coulter, no age given, of New Wilmington was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Old Ash Road near Route 258 in Springfield Township, Mercer County.

4 pm. Saturday — Five road signs owned by PennDOTwere found inside a vacant apartment in Worthington, Armstrong County. Charges are pending, but police did not elaborate.9:30 p.m. Friday — Christopher Austin, 29, of Freeport is accused of using a pocket knife to try and break into the Route 128 home of Nancy Nickleach in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County.The burglary was thwarted when Nickleach, 56, armed with a handgun, chased away Austin, who drove off.He is charged with attempted burglary, attempted trespass, loitering and prowling at night and trespass by motor vehicle. He is in the Armstrong County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bondFriday — State police explosives experts were called in after an old jar filled with blasting caps was found in an old storage building on Wyant Road in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County. Atownship resident cleaning out the building came across the jar and notified authorities.Officers with the State Police Hazardous Device and Explosives Section used a small explosive charge to safely detonate the blasting caps at an isolated location.10:18 p.m. Wednesday — Two Parker residents were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on Route 28 in O'Hara Township, Allegheny County.Police said Karen Wulfert, 25, was found with several stamp bags of suspected heroin; Nicholas Ace, 24, was found with a crack pipe. Police noted charges could be filed against a third person in the case.
