Roy D. Koegler
Roy D. Koegler, 59, a Cranberry Township "original," died Monday at the Erie Veterans Affairs Medical Center after a long illness.
Born Oct. 1, 1946, he was the son of the late Carl A. and Margaret B. Millgan Koegler, natives of Cranberry Township.
He was a 1964 graduate of Evans City High School and attended Robert Morris College.
Mr. Koegler served in the Air Force from 1966 to 1970. He obtained the rank of sergeant and was a supply inventor/specialist in Vietnam.
He was an avid fisherman and Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan.
Surviving are four children, Allan W. Koegler of Cranberry Township, Brian D. Koegler and his wife, Jill, of the North Hills, Carla A. Dietz and her husband, Rich, all of Portersville, and Glenda W. Lee and her husband, Edward, of Barton, Md.; and three grandchildren, Zach and Samantha Koegler and Carman Dietz. He also is survived by a sister, Phyllis A. Koegler Nesbitt of Emlenton, and his special friend, Wanda J. "Wendy" Koegler of Cranberry Township.
