Esther G. So
Esther G. So, 65, of Butler died Tuesday in the emergency department of Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Oct. 20, 1940, in Butler, she was a daughter of Mildred M. McCandless Cehelsky and the late Frank G. Cehelsky.
She graduated from Butler High School and had been a secretary for Center Township for 14 years. Prior to that she had worked for the board of education in Youngstown, Ohio.
Mrs. So was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler and St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Center Township.
She also was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed NASCAR, sewing and shopping on QVC.
Surviving are her husband, Richard J. So, whom she married April 16, 1966; a son, David M. So of Butler; a daughter, Tracy L. Boice of Butler; and three grandchildren. Also surviving are her mother and a sister, Carol J. Pry, both of Butler.
<B>So</B> — Friends of Esther G. So, who died Tuesday, March 21, 2006, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., with the Rev. Pierre Falkenhan officiating.
