3:42 a.m. Thursday — Gary Nato, 45, of Butler Township was arrested for driving under the influence on East Jefferson Street. He was also cited for driving on the wrong side of the road.

Thursday — Police reported someone broke into a detached garage at a Kiester Road home in Slippery Rock Township and stole several hundred pounds of copper. The burglary occurred between December and this month. Lester Green of Butler owns the stolen property.6:35 p.m. Wednesday — Jean Ruth Davis, 65, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her car crashed on Lyons Road in Center Township.Tuesday — About $575 was stolen in a burglary between April 12 and Tuesday at Hindman Hall in Connoquenessing Township.11:35 p.m. April 7 — Vehicles driven by Shawn Beightley, 32, of Butler and Charlet Shurina, 40, of Sarver collided on Sarver Road in Clinton Township. Shurina, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.Police said Beightley fled following the crash in a vehicle driven by Robert Ruediger, 36, of Sarver. The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.

Thursday — A14-year-old inmate at the George Junior Republic juvenile detention center in Pine Township, Mercer County, is accused of hitting a cottage parent at the facility with a chair.The boy, who police did not identify, also allegedly threw a pencil sharpener at Randal Fisher, 35, of Grove City. The sharpener missed Fisher but also hit another boy. Police did not immediately disclose the extent of Fisher's injuries.Police charged the 14-year-old in juvenile court with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief.

Wednesday — Someone between 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and 6:30 a.m. Wednesday broke into a garage and stole a camera and tools from two cars at the Frew Mill Road home of Heath Fabean in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.

Wednesday — A Black & Decker miter saw was reported stolen from a garage owned by Ed McDougall of 309 Hillcrest Ave. The saw, valued at $110, was taken Monday night.2:57 a.m. Saturday — Sean Canfield of 612 Princeton St. was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Lincoln Avenue.1:29 a.m. Saturday — A 16-year-old male was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after being stopped for a curfew violation at the intersection of East Main and Walnut streets.April 13 — A one-piece, two-person booth was reported stolen from the Subway restaurant at 139 S. Broad St.7:32 p.m. April 10 — Scott Shuffstall, 39, of Barkeyville Road was charged with driving under the influence after an accident in Memorial Park. Shuffstall lost control of his truck and drove it off Ball Park Road into a field. Shuffstall was taken to Grove City Medical Center, where it was discovered he had broken his neck. He was then transferred to Allegheny General Hospital.
