Martha Irene Dunn Leslie Koegler

Martha Irene Dunn Leslie Koegler, 82, of Connoquenessing died Saturday evening at her home after a recent illness.

Born July 21, 1923, in Mount Chestnut, she was the daughter of Harold M. and Martha I. Raisley Dunn.

She was a member of the Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Koegler enjoyed life on the farm, baking bread and cinnamon rolls, picking apples and gardening.

She was a homemaker, a wife and mother of seven and had worked at Mine Safety Appliances for 14 years.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Koegler, whom she married March 6, 1993; four daughters and their husbands, Linda and Allen DuBose of Carol Stream, Ill., Joyce and Robert Thomas of Augusta, Ga., Sally and William Pinkle of Portersville and Ellen Leslie of Connoquenessing; two sons and their wives, Lloyd and Marlene Leslie and David and Brenda Leslie, all of Connoquenessing; 23 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a stepdaughter; and a stepson.

A brother and his wife, Robert L. and Shirley Dunn of Chicora; a sister-in-law, Darlene Dunn Beahm of Mount Chestnut; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Her first husband, R. Wayne Leslie, whom she married Oct. 28, 1943, died July 24, 1985. A son, Roger Wayne Leslie; three brothers, and a sister also preceded her in death.

<B>KOEGLER</B> — Friends of Martha Irene Dunn Leslie Koegler, who died Saturday,March 18, 2006, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the <B>Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home</B>, 387 Main St., Prospect. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jeffrey Curtis officiating.
