Florence A. Kocher, 81, of Randy Drive in Penn Township died at 10:14 a.m. Saturday at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Karns City, Sept. 17. 1924, she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Elizabeth McElroy Shakley.

She had worked at the Spaide Shirt Factory and at the Bantam Jeep factory.

Mrs. Kocher was a member of the First United Methodist Church, where she belonged to the Asbury Sunday School Class. She also was a member of the Kaylor Grange, the Women of the Moose 1164, the United Commercial Travellers and the City Police Women's Auxiliary.

Surviving are her husband, John I. Kocher, whom she married March 12, 1947; three daughters, Kathryn Kocher of Butler, Mrs. Neal (Rhonda)Jarrett of Temple, Texas, and Mrs. Daniel (Sheila) Uber of Corsica; a son, John W. Kocher of Duncanville, Texas; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She also is survived by a sister, Mrs. Margaret Swigart of Karns City, and a number of nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by a son, two sisters and a brother.

<B>KOCHER</B> — Friends of Florence A. Kocher, who died Saturday, March 18, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Panther, her church pastor, officiating. Burial will be at the Butler County Memorial Park, Butler Township.Memorial donations may be made to the American Heat Association of Western Pennsylvania, 10 Duff Road, Suite 304, Pittsburgh,PA 15235; or the Memorial Fund of First United Methodist Church, 200 E.
