Covenant PresbyOn Sunday, Professor Linda Day, who has taught Old Testament at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, will lead the Seekers Class of Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St. Her topic is "Lamentations in the Old Testament." The class meets at 9:45 a.m. in the Assembly Room.The Slippery Rock University Concert Choir and Chamber Singers will perform "Mass of Hope," an original work by Joe Negri, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Negri and his Jazz Ensemble will also perform instrumental jazz. Tickets are $5 and proceeds will be used to fund vocal scholarships at Slippery Rock University.A Sermon Forum will be held during the Fellowship Hour after the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service. Members are invited to discuss sermons past and present with the Rev. James Swanson, Covenant's pastor.
Faith Fellowship AllianceThe spring ministry school classes at Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, Faithway-Fared Drive, will resume at 6 p.m. Sunday. Classes include Under Cover, focused on the teachings of John Bevere, and Changes that Heal, a study on the teachings of Henry Cloud.

New Castle St., will host a class social at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the Baptist Youth Center.Les Ollila and Marty Von, faculty members at Northland Baptist Bible College, Dunbar, Wis., will be the featured speakers at a youth retreat this weekend at Slippery Rock Baptist Camp, 130 Elliott Lane, Slippery Rock. The retreat, lasting from 5:30 p.m. Friday to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, will involve youths from churches associated with the Association of Independent Baptist Churches of Western Pennsylvania.Ollila, chancellor of Northland Baptist Bible College, will be the speaker at Sunday's 10:55 a.m. service.The church will conduct a nursing home service from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday at Sunnyview Home.The Rev. Leland "Lee" Hufhand of Proctorville, Ohio, will be the speaker at the 7 p.m. service Wednesday. Hufhand formerly served as the state representative for the Pennsylvania Association of Regular Baptist Churches.
