10 a.m. Wednesday — Ahmed Gulam Saleji, no age given, of Toronto, Canada, was cited after he tried to drive his tractor truck with a 13-foot high trailer under a railroad bridge on South Monroe Street; a sign before the bridge noted it had only a 12-foot clearance.Police said Saleji got about 30 feet under the bridge before the top of the trailer struck the bridge, peeling back the roof. He was charged with failure to obey traffic control devices.1:46 a.m. Tuesday — Steven Rodriguez, 55, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on North Elm Street. He was also cited for driving on the wrong side of the road.2:13 a.m. Sunday — Jeremy Hepler, 25, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on West Wayne Street. He was also cited for not stopping at a stop sign and failure to obey traffic control devices.

1:30 a.m. Tuesday — Acar driven by Justin Holly, 21, of Hadley, Mercer County, struck a guardrail on Boyers Road in Marion Township.Tuesday — Shawn Graham reported that overnight someone broke into his vehicle at his Browns Hill Road home in Middlesex Township, and stole a .38-caliber pistol and several compact discs.Tuesday — Vandals damaged a portable outside toilet and parking lot dividing ropes at the softball fields in Fairview Township. The vandalism occurred Monday or Tuesday. Damage to the property, owned by the Petrolia Valley Youth Center, was estimated at $425. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the barracks at 724-284-8100.Tuesday — Police filed three additional drug charges against Ronald Jay McKivigan, 46, of Butler. Vice unit troopers earlier arrested McKivigan for allegedly selling crack cocaine from his RooseveltBoulevard home.The defendant on Tuesday was charged with three counts each of delivery and possession of a controlled substance.Police originally arrested McKivigan on April 7 and charged him with three counts each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.Arresting officers found 50 stamp bags of heroin, about 14 grams of crack cocaine that had been packaged for sale and seven bags of marijuana, also packaged for sale in the house, police said.McKivigan remains in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bond.Monday — Eugene Hays told police that someone between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. entered his Hays Lane home in Summit Township and stole seven bottles of prescription medication. The medicine is valued at $525.

7:40 p.m. Tuesday — Thousands of dollars in currency along with suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia was seized from three Westmoreland County men following a traffic stop on Route 28 in O'Hara Township, Allegheny County.Arrested were Anthony Howell, 19, of Arnold; and Antwon Dupree Knuckles, 22, and Anthony Wayne Hilson, 35, both of New Kensington. All three are charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.Police searched the men and found Hilson with $7,876; Howell with $5,833; and Knuckles with $2,516.7:33 p.m. Tuesday — Howard Erdley Jr., 41, of Ford City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 28 in Buffalo Township, Butler County.

4:10 p.m. April 4 — Three suspected illegal aliens were arrested following a traffic stop on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township, Mercer County.The suspects — a 35-year-old Argentinian man, a 29-year-old Argentinian woman and a 42-year-old Paraguayan man — were turned over to federal immigration authorities.
