H. Paul Keck

H. Paul Keck, 74, of Wichita, Kan., died Tuesday at the Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

Born May 21, 1931, in Butler, he was the son of Herman P. and Emma L. Whiteside Keck.

He was a sales representative for DeVore and Sons for more than 33 years. He previously had worked at the Callery Chemical Co. for several years before moving to its facilities in Lawrence, Kan., and later in Muskogee, Okla.

In 1962, he joined the Advance Products Co. of Wichita as a salesman and later became sales manager. He traveled throughout the United States and Canada representing the company, which manufactures audio visual equipment, including welded steel tables for projectors, television monitors and computers.

His honesty and integrity in dealing with customers was instrumental in creating the highly favorable reputation, which the company still enjoys. He also contributed numerous ideas for new products, which encouraged the growth and success of the company.

In addition to supervising the sales and customer service personnel, he was responsible for advertising, literature design and the preparation and planning of numerous sales conventions and exhibits.

After he retired in 1996, he continued to live in Wichita. He served on the board of directors of the Kansas Arthritis Foundation and was a member of the Blue Sky Investment Club. He retained his membership at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Butler.

Surviving are numerous cousins.

<B>KECK </B>— Friends of H. Paul Keck, who died Tuesday, March 14, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Strobel, interim pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery.A ceremony of remembrance and celebration of his life will be held Monday in Wichita.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., Butler, PA 16001; the Kansas Arthritis Foundation, Kansas Chapter, 1999 N. Amidon Ave., Suite 105, Wichita, KS 67203-2122; or to the Salvation Army, 313 W.
