Sintz 55th anniversary
Harry and Doris Sintz of Butler celebrated 55 years of marriage Friday. A family dinner was held in their honor.
The former Doris Cottrill married Sintz on April 14, 1951, at a Methodist church in DeRidder, La.
They have four children, Sandra Strunk of Chesapeake, Va.; Robert Sintz and Harry Sintz, both of Butler; and Susan Marterella of Boyers. They also have seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Sintz retired after 33 years of teaching in the Meridian and Lyndora areas. He enjoys traveling and yardwork.
Mrs. Sintz is a homemaker and a former clerk at Jack McKain's Grocery. She enjoys bowling and needlepoint crafts.
The couple belongs to Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, where Sintz has served as a deacon, councilman, usher and teacher. They enjoy reading.
