5:30 p.m. Monday — Alexander Brown, 23, was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend, Carrie Cavanaugh, 33, at the couple's Morton Avenue apartment. Brown was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $3,000 bond.5:28 p.m. Monday — Cars driven by Norma English, 43, and Joshua Wagner, 23, both of Butler collided at Chestnut and Jefferson streets. The collision pushed Wagner's vehicle into a car driven by Sabrina Weiland, 19, of Butler. Wagner, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.

2:13 a.m. Monday — A burglar stole two packs of cigarettes after breaking into Ganter's Country Market on Chicora Road in Oakland Township. The unknown suspect triggered the burglar alarm after entering the store through a rear window.12:20 a.m. Sunday — Benjamin Deprano, 31, of Boyers was arrested after allegedly assaulting Kara Deprano, 26, of Boyers during a domestic dispute at a Woodbury Road home in Marion Township. Deprano was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $3,000 bond.Saturday — Someone stole a push lawn mover, tool box and chainsaw from an Eau Claire Road shed in Marion Township, and then tried to set fire to a wooden structure attached to a camper there. John and Cheryl DiCarlo of Harrisville own the property.

9:22 a.m. Thursday — A mini-van driven by Kelly Nightingale, 36, of Renfrew struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Eric Krenitsky, 36, of Butler, on Evans City Road. Nightingale and her two children, no ages given, were treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital.

5:55 a.m. April 7 — Vehicles driven by Jeremy Kenneth Ofslager, 34, of Jackson Township and Allison Hansen Kuhn, 57, of Zelienople collided at North Main Street and East Grandview Avenue. Kuhn suffered minor injuries.
