9:46 p.m. Monday — A passer-by found a small, white dog on Route 8 near the Co-Go's in Middlesex Township. The dog, which is of an unknown breed, had apparently been hit by a vehicle.The owner can claim the dog, which had no collar or identification tags, by calling the barracks at 724-284-8100.7:19 p.m. Monday — A car driven by a 16-year-old Cabot boy, who police did not identify, struck a tree along Stoney Hollow Road in Winfield Township.4:45 p.m. Monday — An unknown person riding in a newer copper-colored pickup truck with black trim threw a water bottle out the window. The bottle hit the arm of John Mastele, 52, of Butler, who was riding a bicycle on Route 68 in Connoquenesssing Township.Police said two white males, possibly in their late teens, were in the pickup. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the barracks.3:09 p.m. Monday — A car driven by a 17-year-old Valencia boy, who police did not identify, struck a utility pole along Sandy Hill Road in Middlesex Township.Monday — Nearly $1,600 in tools were taken from a building at the Butler Farm Show grounds in Connoquenessing Township. The theft occurred between Friday and Monday. Ranley Nelson of Butler owns the stolen property.Monday — About $1,500 in tools were taken from a home under construction on Hunter Hill Road in Muddy Creek Township. The theft occurred between Friday and Monday. Sean Gramz of Portersville owns the stolen property.
