John and Jennifer Merwick

Jennifer Philips of Butler and John Merwick of Honolulu were united in marriage at 4 p.m. April 16, 2005, in the Moli'i Gardens at the Kualoa Ranch in Oahu, Hawaii. The officiant was Rob Moore. Areception followed in the Moli'i Gardens.

The bride is the daughter of Randall and Linda Philips of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Robert and Marianne Merwick of Oklahoma City.

The matron of honor was the bride's sister, Kristen Coy of Colorado Springs, Colo. Sarah Altonen of Colorado Springs was the attendant. Flower girls included Sarah Zahm and Natalia Zahm, both of St. Cloud, Minn.

Performing the duties of best man was the groom's brother Peter Merwick of Mobile, Ala. The bride's brother Curtis Philips of Butler served as an usher. The ring bearer was Evan Coy of Colorado Springs.

The bride is a 1990 graduate of Karns City High School and a 1994 graduate of California (Pa.)University. She works as a freelance graphic designer in Honolulu.

The bridegroom graduated in 1990 from Woodbridge High School and in 1994 from Oral Roberts University. He works for C&J Solar Solutions in Kaneohe, Hawaii.

Following a wedding trip to Maui, Hawaii, the couple is making their home in Honolulu.
