Hoffman

Ruth Hoffman of Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople celebrated her 90th birthday Sunday with a dinner for family and friends at Passavant.

The former Ruth Burkert was born April 10, 1916, in Jackson Township. She married Claire Hoffman on October 11, 1935. He is deceased.

She has two children, John Hoffman of Mount Lebanon and Shirley Wise of Evans City. Adaughter, Doris Brittner, is deceased.

She also has 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Hoffman is retired. She works as a secretary in Evans City.

She is a member of the Evans City Fire Department Auxiliary and St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Evans City, where she participates in the quilters' group and the WELCA.
