Students show off art abilities

About 200 students from Northwest Elementary School showed off their artistic abilities to their families, teachers and seniors March 30 during an art show at Newhaven Court at Clearview, an assisted living center for senior citizens.
Each student at Northwest had at least one piece of art on display at the Best of Northwest show, which featured a total of 500 pieces.
The reception that opened the show included refreshments, music and face painting. To show their appreciation to their Newhaven hosts, the students made tissue paper roses and cards for seniors at the center.Each student received a ribbon, inspirational bracelet and a goodie bag full of activities and coloring sheets.
