Freeport High student wins science award
PITTSBURGH — Jessica Klabnik, a Freeport High School junior, won a science award at the 67th annual Pittsburgh Regional Science & Engineering Fair this past weekend.
Klabnik won a Science and Technology Award for Excellence in the senior division from the Carnegie Science Center for her project, which focused on the correlation between bulls' scrotal circumference and abnormalities in their sperm.
More than 670 students from 94 schools competed in the science fair, which started in 1940.
