Christ Community U.M.The Little Red Church will be on the altar during weekend worship services at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road. Christ's OutreachThe Easter Choir of Christ's Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave., will present the Easter Cantata, "BELIEVE," at 7 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. Sunday.The Easter Choir will meet at 6 p.m. Friday for a final practice.In observation of Holy Week, all Wednesday night programs will be canceled.The Kids Caravan program will resume at 7 p.m. April 19. Covenant PresbyThe One Great Hour of Sharing Offering will be received at the 11 a.m. Palm Sunday worship service at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St. All persons attending the service will be presented with palm fronds.Covenant will present its Lenten Easter Concert at 3 p.m Saturday in the sanctuary. The early Music Ensemble, Alle Psallite, will present a program of Medieval and Renaissance music; and soprano, Sara Giallombardo, a Butler native and winner of the 2001 Pittsburgh Civic Artist Competition, will present a vocal program. Participants should take a basket or bag to collect eggs.On Easter Sunday there will be two worship services, the early service at 7:30 a.m. and the 10:30 a.m. Both services will celebrate the empty tomb of the Risen Christ. Everyone is encouraged to bring a flower to these worship services. There will be an opportunity to place your flower on the cross that has been in the sanctuary throughout the Lenten season and create a living cross. Following the 10:30 a.m. service, the cross will be moved onto the church lawn.
