Carole and Frederick Schmidt

Frederick and Carole Schmidt of Fairview celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a family dinner at the Garden Gate Restaurant in Prospect.

The former Carole Brown married Schmidt on March 31, 1956.

They have three children, Suzanne Fennell of Bradford, Ohio; Frederick Schmidt Jr. of Erie and David Schmidt of Butler. They also have nine grandchildren.

Frederick retired from Penreco in 1991.

Mrs. Frederick is a homemaker.

Both served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. They belong to the White Stone Christian Fellowship Church in Fairview.
