3:19 a.m. Wednesday — Michael Cress, 32, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Candice Fawn, 23, at their North Washington Street apartment. Cress is charged with simple assault and public drunkenness.

4:04 p.m. Wednesday — Amotorcycle driven by Barry Stein, 53, of Butler crashed on Route 268 at Poplar Road in Fairview Township. Stein, who was wearing a helmet, suffered minor injuries.1:50 p.m. Sunday — Buses driven by James Thompson, 46, and Aaron Hartman, 27, both of Butler, collided on Route 356 in Summit Township. There were no passengers on either bus. Thompson was cited for careless driving.

March 22 — Atwo-ton floor jack and log splitter were among property taken between March 20 and 22 in a burglary at a building on Old Route 422 in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.Also taken were a battery charger, lawn mower, aluminum logs racks, motor parts and wheels. Wallace Sines of New Castle and Henry Reinstadtler of Ellwood City own the property.

Wednesday — Brian D. Gilmore, 38, of 474 Diamond Road was arrested for driving under the influence after a traffic stop at North Broad and Spruce streets for a red light violation.Monday — Someone broke into a Pepsi machine at Schall Tire Service, 402 N. Broad St. Between $15 and $20 was taken after the lock was punched out.Monday — It was reported that sometime between Saturday evening and 5:30 a.m. Sunday, someone entered an unlocked storage room at TMSPhysical Therapy, 201 Erie St., and sprayed shaving cream and scattered bundles of newspapers throughout the room.Sunday — A20-inch, purple and black Huffy BMX bike was found at 424 E. Main St.Sunday — It was reported that sometime between 9:30 p.m. March 23 and 6:45 a.m. Friday, a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado was damaged while in the parking lot at 1460 Carrie Way. Someone struck the door and window of the extended cab with a blunt object. The vehicle was owned by Chase Badger of 418 Bessemer Ave.Saturday — Emily Hinton, 23, of 613 Woodland Ave. was charged with two counts of driving under the influence following a traffic stop for a stop sign violation at West Poplar Street and Stewart Avenue.

Friday — Casey Teresa Hughes, 19, of Roseland, N.J., was charged with driving under the influence after being stopped for a traffic violation.March 18 — Brian M. Smith, 36, of Slippery Rock was charged with driving under the influence after being implicated in a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of South Main and Cooper streets.March 18 — Tiffany Summerville, 24, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence after being stopped for erratic driving on South Main Street.March 16 or 17 — Someone attempted to break into the house at 323 Franklin St., breaking a door lock valued at $15.
