Mike and Barrie Smaretsky

Mike and Barrie Smaretsky of Butler will celebrate 50 years of marriage Wednesday with a family dinner.

The former Barrie Jane Deal married Smaretsky March 29, 1956.

They have three children, Michael Smaretsky and his wife Jill of Meridian, Doug Smaretsky of Lyndora, and Tammi Smith and her husband Blair of Sewickley.

They also have five grandchildren.

Smaretsky is retired from Armco and belongs to St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Lyndora.

Mrs. Smaretsky is a homemaker.
