Parkers

For five generations, Parkers appliance and television store continues to draw customers from Butler, Armstrong, Clarion and Lawrence counties.

The business was founded by H.O. Parker and his son, Bob Parker, and now continues with David Parker and his son, Brian. This year starts the 58th year of the "Parker Tradition" that has served so many generations of customers so well.

The business started in downtown Chicora in 1948 at the present location of the Chicora VFW club. The original building was outgrown when new appliances, such as automatic washers and dryers, dishwashers, and color TVs were added to the original line of refrigerators, ranges, wringer washers and radios.

In 1952, a new store was built at its present location on Route 68 at the "top of the hill" in Chicora. This store was expanded several times.

In 1968, a new warehouse was built to accommodate factory-direct truckload shipments. This saved customers thousands of dollars over the years as the savings in volume buying was passed on to the customers.

To continue to be the low-price leader in the area, Parkers joined a national buying co-operative in 1973 that represents hundreds of stores nationwide.

For 58 years, Parkers has been helping customers with the best value at the lowest prices and backing up all purchases with service after the sale. This gives their customers peace of mind for not ever having to worry about who is going to repair their appliance or television.

At Parkers there are no extra charges for delivery, normal hookup or removal of your old appliance or TV.

Most deliveries are made within 24 hours.

The next time you need an appliance or television, you will find a pleasant shopping experience at Parkers in Chicora. Phone orders are welcome also.
