Central Electric Cooperative
Despite the severe weather and its effects on rising energy costs, Central Electric Cooperative rates remained stable throughout 2005 and will continue to do so throughout 2006.
The cooperative's board of directors approved the budget and work plan for 2006 in December with rates unchanged from 2005. In fact, the cooperative's electric rates have remained the same for the past several years.
This welcome news couldn't come at a better time with natural gas, fuel oil and propane costs continue to increase substantially. As a matter of fact, 2005 was a good time for cooperative members to consider switching their water and home heating from fossil fuels to electricity.
Central members can take advantage of a special deal on professionally-installed electric water heaters for only $229.99.
Members may also have a free evaluation of their home heating and air conditioning system done to determine the least-cost option.
Members can take advantage of these and other programs by calling the Cooperative at 800-521-0570.
