Smith, Cygan
Deborah Smith of Butler and Mark Cygan of Chicora were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Feb. 14 aboard the bridegroom's plane while flying to Pittsburgh. A reception followed at the Runway Restaurant in Butler.
The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Margaret Acquavita of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Andy and Norma Cygan and Rich and Elsie Young, all of Butler.
The bride was presented for marriage by her son Bryre Smith of Butler, who also served as the ring bearer.
The bride is a 1985 graduate of Butler High School; a 1989 graduate of Slippery Rock University, earning a bachelor's degree; and a 2005 graduated of Capella University, where she earned a master's degree. She works at Butler Memorial Hospital and at the Gaiser Addiction Center, both in Butler.
The bridegroom graduated in 1990 from Karns City High School and in 1992 from the Community College of Beaver County, earning an associate's degree. He works as a self-employed contractor.
Following a honeymoon trip to Florida, the couple is making their home in Butler.
