2:03 a.m. Saturday — Martin Cricks Jr., 59, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on New Castle Street. He was also cited for driving on the wrong side of the road.

12:37 p.m. Saturday — Apickup truck driven by Larry Young, 62, and a car driven by Amy Spatig, 34, both of Butler collided on New Castle Road near Duffy Road. Police cited Spatig for leaving the scene of an accident and other undisclosed traffic violations.

Saturday — One person was arrested for driving under the influence and another on drug-related charges during a roving patrol between midnight and 4 a.m. in the Slippery Rock area.Officers also cited two people for public intoxication and another for driving with a suspended license. Additionally, nine seat belt warnings and six other miscellaneous warnings were issued.

5:30 p.m. Monday — William David Chuba, 23, was arrested for allegedly assaulting Jessica Thomas, 21, of Prospect at his Grindel Road home in Franklin Township. Police said Chuba punched Thomas twice in the face. He was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bond.Monday — Aradio and numerous compact discs were taken between 3:30 and 9:50 a.m. from a car that had broken down on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. Clarence Cox of Montgomery, W.Va., owns the stolen property.Monday — Wayne Patterson reported his red, 1992 Mercury Topaz stolen from his Moorehead Road home in Winfield Township. The car, taken Sunday or Monday, bears the Pennsylvania license plate GGE1540.
