Osborne 60th Anniversary
The Rev. Cloyd and Alberta Osborne of Butler Township will celebrate 60 years of marriage Wednesday.
The former Alberta Love married Osborne on March 15, 1946, at Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Transfer.
They have three children, Yolanda Deemer of Butler; Thomas Osborne of Lakeside, Ohio; and Rex Osborne of Columbus, Ohio.
They also have six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
Osborne is a retired Methodist minister, having served in the Western Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church. A veteran of the Ninth Air Force, he served during World War II. He also served as the Chaplain at the Butler Veterans
Affairs Medical Center for 30 years and as a minister at Christ Community United Methodist Church for 18 years.Mrs. Osborne, a bookkeeper and homemaker, is retired from the general accounting office of Magnetics in East Butler. An avid quilter and teacher, she is a member of the Where the Corners Meet quilt guild inNew Wilmington.The couple belongs to Christ Community United Methodist Church.
