While shopping with her daughter for the perfect prom gown, what mom hasn't recalled her own prom attire, whether she still has the dress or not.

The Eagle would like to publish brief prom stories along with photos of moms with their daughters in their prom gowns (the daughters dressed up, not the moms), together with original photos of the moms on their own prom nights.

Applications are now being accepted for the Frank W. Preston Memorial Scholarship, available to high school seniors in Butler County, planning to pursue an engineering, environmental or conservation career.Applications are available in high school guidance offices around the county, or by mail at Frank W. Preston Memorial Scholarship Trust, P.O. Box 49-Meridian Station, Butler, PA16001.The deadline for applications is April 15.

BUTLER TWP — The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department has extended the deadline for its Snow Creations Contest to March 31.To enter, contestants should send their name and a photo of their snow sculpture to Butler County Parks and Recreation Department, Snow Sculpture Creation, P.O. Box 1208, Butler, PA 16003.The winner will receive a summer pass to the Alameda Pool.

BUTLER TWP — Butler County Community College Children's Creative Learning Center will have open house and registration March 15.Sessions will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Learning Center building at BC3.Parents should take their child's birth certificate and immunization records. HARRISVILLE — ASportsman's Night and gun raffle will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Harrisville Fire Hall, 109 E. Mercer St.Sponsored by Logan's Gun Gallery, the event will benefit the Marion Township/Eau Claire Volunteer Fire Department.A $10 donation is requested for admission.
