Butler High School's performance of the musical "Annie Get Your Gun" is set for 8 p.m. Friday and March 11 at the senior high school on Campus Lane.

Tickets are available for $8 at May's Music Shoppe on East Jefferson Street or $10 at the door.

The musical is based on the book by Herbert and Dorothy Fields, with music and lyrics by Irving Berlin.

The plot centers around sharpshooter Annie Oakley, who supports her family by hunting wild game. When Annie is persuaded to join Col. Buffalo Bill Cody's Wild West Show, she falls in love with Frank Butler, the show's star who is pitted against Annie in a final shootout.

The play will be directed by Dale Vanlaningham and choreographed by Stephanie Marshall. Vocal director is Beverly Antis, with Jeff Kroner as pit conductor. Meghan Cavanaugh is student stage manager.
