Alexander S. Almasi
Alexander S. Almasi, 88, formerly of Zelienople, died Dec. 23, 2005, at St. Barnabas, Gibsonia.
Born Oct. 23, 1917, in Zelienople, he was the son of Alesander and Anna Yeager Almasi.
He served as a medic in the Army during World War II and retired as a butcher for the A&P supermarket in Zelienople.
Mr. Almasi was a former member and usher of St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church, Zelienople. He also belonged to the Zelienople American Legion Post 474, and was a lifetime member and former president of the Zelienople Lion's Club.
He is survived by a brother, Zolie Thomas Almasi of Aliquippa, and a niece.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice McCabe Almasi, and a sister.
ALMASI — A memorial Mass for Alexander S. Almasi, who died Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St, Zelienople, with the Rev. Robert Miller officiating.
