CHICORA U.M.A 10-week ladies Bible study will begin Monday at Chicora United Methodist Church, Central Avenue, Chicora. Each session will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. and will be led by Beth Moore.
CHRIST COMMUNITY U.M.The Rev. Glenn Kohlhepp, recently retired district superintendent of the United Methodist Church, Butler District, will lead the 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday services at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, Butler Township.The annual couples retreat will be held Friday through Sunday at Olmsted Manor.Members attending the leadership retreat at the Biblical Life Institute in Freeport should send a $10 deposit to the church office by Wednesday.Daffodil Day orders will be accepted through March 5. Cost is $7 for a bunch and $15 for a bunch in a vase. CHRIST'S OUTREACHInfant/child dedication will be conducted during the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service at Christ's Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave. Music will be provided by Patti Helms and Amanda Helms.A sleep over and lock-in for Caravan Kids will be held Friday night. The event will begin at 6 p.m. and participants can be picked up at 10 a.m. Saturday. All members should take permission slips, sleeping bags and pillows. Participants can also take one friend. Breakfast will be provided. The gym time is open to youth group members and their friends in grades seven to 12. This will become a weekly event.The Easter choir rehearsal will resume at 6 p.m. Sunday.
COMMUNITY ALLIANCEOn March 5, at Community Alliance Church, 800 Mercer Road, Pete Brokopp will speak at all three morning services about what the Lord is doing in West Africa. At 6 p.m. on March 5, there will be a special service designed for the senior and junior high youth.
COVENANT PRESBYThe monthly noisy offering of change will be received during the 11 a.m. Sunday service at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St.Andrew Colvin, adjunct professor in the Religion Department at Slippery Rock University, will lead the Seekers Class in a discussion of Buddhism. The class meets at 9:30 a.m. Sunday in the Assembly Room.The Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper and Silent Auction will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Fellowship Hall. The supper includes pancakes, sausage, fruit, dessert, and beverage. The silent auction will follow.
