Claypoole, Thurber
Misty Claypoole of Butler and Ryan Thurber of Springdale were united in marriage at 3 p.m. Aug. 6 at First United Methodist Church in Butler. The Rev. J. David Panther officiated. A reception followed at Highfield Hall.
The bride is the daughter of Mervin and Susan Claypoole of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Sam and Cindy Thurber of Springdale.
The matron of honor was Melody Scardina of Fenelton. Bridesmaids included Mandy Claypoole of Butler; Sally Swartzlander of Rittman, Ohio; Laura Roderick of Smithfield; and Chelsea Spencer of Ashtabula, Ohio. The flower girl was London Alese of New Bethlehem.
Performing the duties of best man was Brandon Thurber of Springdale. Ushers included Jason Thurber of Springdale; Julien Stock and Jim Moore, both of Pittsburgh; and Gabe Gehinio of Sarver. The ring bearer was Anthony Scardina of Fenelton.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Kittanning High School and a 2005 graduate of Seton Hill University. She works as a chemistry teacher at Kiski High School.
The bridegroom graduated in 1999 from Springdale High School. He works as a union electrician with the IBEW.
Following a honeymoon trip to the Western Caribbean, the couple is making their home in Fenelton.
