It was good to see the pothole-patching work under way in the Butler area during the past week. Municipalities should take advantage of the better-than-normal winter weather anytime it prevails, in order to get a good start on what, in Pennsylvania, is a routine spring exercise.
The work will help vehicles escape damage and prevent bigger road surface problems from developing.
