Robert and Lu Dodd

Robert and Lu Dodd of Bruin celebrated 50 years of marriage recently. A picnic for family and friends is planned in the spring.

The former Lulu Belle Servey married Dodd on Jan. 23, 1956, at Sligo Methodist Church in Clarion County.

They have three children, Holly Hartzell and R. Eric Dodd, both of Butler, and Scott Dodd of Bruin.

They also have six grandchildren, a step-grandson and two great-grandchildren.

Dodd is retired from Pullman-Standard, where he worked as a welder. He also worked as a self-employed barber.

Mrs. Dodd is a retired custodian from Karns City High School.

The couple belongs to Martinsburg Presbyterian Church of Bruin. They are also former delivery volunteers with Meals on Wheels.
