H. Glenn and Helen Beecher of Cabot will celebrate 60 years of marriage with an open house from 2:30 to 5 p.m. April 22 at Concordia Lutheran Ministries' Haven II Dining Room in Cabot.

The former Helen Zimmerman married Beecher on Feb. 14, 1946, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Leechburg.

They have four children, Jennifer Foley of Moon Township; Christine Bollinger of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; Mark Beecher of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and Kevin Beecher of Leechburg.

They also have six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Beecher is retired from Allegheny-Ludlum Steel in Leechburg, where he worked as a machinist. He is a member of the Allegheny Township Lions Club and the Masonic Lodge in Leechburg.

Mrs. Beecher is also retired. She is a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Apollo.

The couple belongs to First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Leechburg, where Beecher is a former council member and Mrs. Beecher is a former Sunday school teacher, choir member and member of the Lutheran Church Women.
