1:51 a.m. Sunday — Matthew Ryan, 37, of Oakland Township was arrested for driving under the influence on Kittanning Street.Sunday — Police are investigating the weekend reports of someone vandalizing vehicles parked at their homes.Evangeline Thompson of East Locust Street reported Sunday that her car's passenger side window was smashed out sometime overnight.On Saturday, Roger Cain of West New Castle Street and Richard Amend of West North Street said someone overnight broke out their cars' passenger side windows.4:31 p.m. Saturday — Kenneth Goliat, 51, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on East Brady Street.8:10 a.m. Saturday — A pickup truck driven by Devin Smith, 18, of Butler Township struck a utility pole at Center and East Boyd avenues. Police said Smith did not report the crash to police.12:01 a.m. Saturday — Timothy Cook, 42, of Butler was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana after officers were called to a South Street porch for a report of a suspicious man in the area. Cook is also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness.Saturday — Carol Rose reported that on Feb. 1 or 2 a plastic garden fountain valued at $50 was stolen from the yard at her Third Street home.
3:50 p.m. Saturday — Marie Rhodes, 52, of Renfrew was arrested for driving under the influence after her sport utility vehicle hit a large rock and rolled onto its side on Powdermill Road in Connoquenessing Township. Police said Rhodes left her vehicle behind and did not report the crash.In addition to DUI, Rhodes is charged with accidents involving damage to unattended property, failure to notify police of a crash and driving on the wrong side of the road.2:05 p.m. Saturday — Mini-vans driven by Frederick Seibel, 27, of Chicora and Timothy Walkowiak, 40, of Butler collided on Route 68 near Eagle Mill Road in Connoquenessing Township. A passenger in Seibel's vehicle, who police did not identify, suffered minor injuries.8:03 a.m. Thursday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Richard Dufford Jr., 20, of Butler and a car driven by Betty Graham, 59, of Delmont, Westmoreland County, collided at Route 356 and Burtner Road in Jefferson Township. Both drivers, wearing seat belts, suffered moderate injuries.
12:02 a.m. Friday — A sport utility vehicle driven by John Lasher, no age given, and a van driven by Peter Painter Jr., no age given, both of Rimersburg collided on Perkins Road in Monroe Township, Clarion County.Shelly Renninger, no age given, of Shippenville, a passenger in the SUV who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for unknown injuries at Clarion Hospital. Painter, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Lasher was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
9:40 a.m. Sunday — A pickup truck driven by a 17-year-old Parker boy, who police did not identify, skidded off slush-covered Route 268 and hit a utility pole in Sugarcreek Township near the East Franklin Township line in Armstrong County.2:35 a.m. Sunday — Allan Hawk, 46, of Freeport was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Routes 28 and 422 in East Franklin Township, Armstrong County.6:05 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Laura Shaffer, 24, of Kittanning struck a vehicle parked on Route 3007 near Route 128 in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County. Police said Shaffer drove off after the crash.A half-hour after the wreck, Shaffer's vehicle was involved in another hit-and-run crash at Route 66 and Ross Avenue in Manor Township, Armstrong County.Police continue to investigate both crashes and charges against Shaffer are pending.
4:05 a.m. Saturday — John Dialey, 49, of Conneaut Lake, Crawford County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his pickup truck veered off Jackson Center-Pole Road in Worth Township, Mercer Township, hitting a cement culvert, mailbox, large rock, utility pole and fence before flipping onto its roof.Dialey, who was not wearing a seat belt, was treated for moderate injuries at Grove City Medical Center. In addition to DUI, Dialey faces charges of careless driving, not wearing a seat belt, and a lane violation.
