Students share thoughts on love
WEST SUNBURY — Family dominated the thoughts of pupils at one local district about the upcoming day for love.
Students at Dassa McKinney Elementary wrote short essays about what love and St. Valentine's Day meant to them.
In some classes, the students colored pictures to accompany their answers.

Taylor HasychakValentine's Day is a special holiday. You celebrate it because it is a day to care about others. I like it because I get to be with friends and family. That is why I like Valentine's Day.Stephanie McCallWhat Valentine's Day means to me is chocolate, hearts, and love. When you make cards for family and friends. At school you have a party and give people in your class Valentine cards. I go out to dinner on Valentine's Day. My dad and I go to a flower shop and get my mom some flowers. That's how I spend Valentine's Day.Morgan SlaterValentine's Day to me means love and being with your family and friends. It also means flowers and chocolates. But mostly it means being with the people that you love the most.Zach GrazierWhere there is a lot of love in the world it is Valentine's Day. And love means someone cares about you and it is okay to care about someone.Vance NoahValentine's Day means to me staying home with family. It means to me stay in home and relaxing. It means to me playing games with my family.Kathleen PushakI think Valentine's Day is special to me because you have time to spend with your family.
