Students planning to study plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, engineering or construction in the fall may apply for a scholarship from the Mechanical Contractors Association of Northwest Pennsylvania.

The association is offering two $500 scholarships to students attending two- or four-year programs at accredited colleges, universities and technical schools in the western part of the state.

Applications are available from high school guidance counselors or by calling the association at 814-456-3977. Applications must be postmarked by May 1.
