BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENEMusic for the 10:45 a.m. Sunday service at Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, will be provided by Millie Martsolf and the Rev. Barry Mohney. CHRIST COMMUNITY U.M.Boy Scout Sunday will be observed during the Sunday services at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, Butler Township. COVENANT PRESBYOn Sunday, Andrew Colvin, adjunct professor in the department of religion at Slippery Rock University, will lead the Seekers Class of Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., in a discussion on "Daoism." The class meets at 9:30 a.m. in the Assembly Room.The food cupboard is requesting donations of ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise for the month of February. Baskets for the donations are in the East Jefferson Street entrance.One-year daily Bible readings are available in the narthex for February and March.

FAITH U.P.The Friday morning Bible study group at Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main St. Ext., Center Township, will begin a new study at 10 a.m. Friday.

FIRST BAPTISTTeens, parents and grandparents from First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., are invited to a Valentine dinner at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the Baptist Youth Center. The cost is $5 per person. Baby-sitting will be available.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERANThe senior youth group of First English Lutheran Church, North Main Street, will hold a lock-in from 9 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday at the church. The theme for the event will be the "Red Carpet."The junior youth group will resume meetings from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16.

GLADE RUN U.P.The Mission Team of Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will be going to the East Liberty Soup Kitchen on Saturday. GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERANThe movie titled "Noah's Arc" will be shown from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday in the youth center at Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St. The film, featuring seven surfers and their relationships with God, is open to students in grades seven to 12.The Faith Shapers group will hold a skating day Saturday at Skate Castle. NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN MINISTRIESDue to the theme of the sermon "Sexual Sins," an expanded Kid's Community will be held during the 10 a.m. Sunday service at New Life Christian Ministries, Knoch Senior High School, 345 Knoch Road, Saxonburg. Parents are asked to read Romans 1:24 to 27 before the service to determine if the message will be appropriate for their children.An offering will be received Sunday to benefit the Southeast Asia Prayer Center, which provides heart testing and surgery for children in Tibet.Children will be dedicated to the Lord during the 10 a.m. service Feb. 19. OLD UNION PRESBYThe youth group of Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, is selling tickets for their spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 18. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children. You can also sign up to donate supplies. There will no fellowship dinner next week because of the youth group spaghetti dinner.During February, the Evans City Food Cupboard is asking for paper products, dish detergent, Iaundry detergent and bath soap. Donations can be placed in the bin in the back of the church."Gospel Explosion," a gathering of gospel groups from local colleges and universities, will be held Feb. 19. Admission is free, and the event begins at 7 p.m.The Presbytery Leadership Training Event will be held March 5 and will offer a wide variety of workshops. PARK U.P.The Sunday school ministry of Park United Presbyterian Church, 115 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, will host a skating party Feb. 19 at Ellport Skating Rink. Admission is one can of soup for the Southwest Butler County Food Cupboard. Skate rental is $1 for roller skates or $2 for in-line skates. Participants can take a snack or purchase them at the facility.

ST. BRENDAN'S EPISCOPALA new schedule has been announced at St. Brendan's Episcopal Churhc, 2365 McAleer Road, Franklin Park. Adult education classes will begin at 9 a.m. Sundays, followed by Sunday school at 10:15 a.m. Worship services will continue at 8 and 10:30 a.m.
